Hildebrand Student Fellowships offer graduate and undergraduate students at Franciscan University of Steubenville a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain personal, intellectual, and professional development while working closely with Hildebrand Project on core initiatives.
Students are encouraged to begin their Fellowship by reading deeply in Hildebrand’s philosophy, and to bring their insights to bear on their work with the Project, with the goal of bringing together work and leisure, professional and intellectual, in an integrated whole, to develop their “personality,” as Hildebrand would say.
The Student Fellows contribute in meaningful ways to all aspects of the Hildebrand Foundation’s work, helping them to develop new skills, while providing a real-world setting to put their academic and professional training into practice.
Student Fellows have worked on projects involving: writing, editing, graphic design, event planning, product marketing, book production, audio/visual communications, development, office administration, website management, direct mail, fundraising, and more.
A signature program of the Student Fellows is their Truth From The Heart blog, which is written and managed entirely by the Fellows, and is read by thousands of people around the world.
Student Fellows are a vital part of the Hildebrand Project, and they are treated as such, with a welcoming dinner reception for incoming Fellows, opportunities to work closely with senior staff, and to meet with our distinguished visiting scholars.
