The Deitrich and Alice von Hildebrand Lecture on Philosophy and Culture presented an event featuring Rocco Buttiglione speaking on the witness of Bl. John Paul II. The event sought to promote Christian witness that not only challenges the culture, but that particpates in friendship from within the culture. Buttiglione shared how deeply Bl. John Paul II was committed to this renewal. Five Franciscan University households helped to host this event, including: the Guardians of the Divine Will, the Roses of the Immaculate Heart, Gaudete in Via Crucis, Crown of Creation, and Madonna of the Streets.
